Fire Risk Assessments
A Fire Risk Assessment or fire safety visit will normally be required to decide the appropriate type and
number of Fire Extinguishers necessary to provide sufficient cover for your premises. Fire Risk
Assessments are a LEGAL REQUIREMENT for all Commercial premises including Churches,etc.The purpose

Servicing and Maintenance of Fire Equipment
Fire extinguishers should be maintained at regular intervals (at least once a year), or when specifically
indicated by an inspection. A service can be carried out on most brands of fire extinguisher. The service is
carried out in accordance with British Standard 5306 pt 3 and covers general servicing of appliances -
greasing and making free all working parts and triggering mechanisms and checking there is no corrosion.
PAT and Electrical Testing Portable Appliance Testing is a process by which electrical appliances are
routinely checked to see whether they are safe. A proper program of PAT Testing is essential to help ensure
that electrical related accidents are prevented. Gordon Agencies will ensure your businesses electrical
equipment is safe for use, and will minimise the risk of fire in your premises.
Safety SignageSigns must be used, where necessary, to help people identify escape routes, find firefighting
equipment and emergency fire telephones. These signs are required under the Health and Safety (Safety
Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996 and must comply with the provisions of those regulations
